APPLICATION OF LINEAR PROGRAMMING TO DETERMINE OPTIMAL PRODUCTION IN PT. SIHITANG RAYA BARU

ABSTRACT According to the results of the observations in PT. Sihitang Raya Baru, there are problems such as; the company has not been able to realize the most optimal production on its planning. Sometimes, the company has not infrequent accumulation of raw materials due to the purchase of raw materials in excess. It could affect the company to fullfil the market demand and it could hinder the company to obtain optimal benefits. Therefore, this paper will discuss how to analyze the existing inventory to minimize cost, and then determines the optimal production quantities by using a linear programming so that company can maximize the profits.
