Has done research on the synthesis and characterization of Ni1+xFe2-xO4 materials
as electromagnetic wave absorber material (x = 0 ; 0,25 ; 0,5 ; 0,75 and 1).
Manufacture of Nickel Ferrite material is synthesized by coprecipitation method
and mixed by solid state reaction. The process is milling for 5 hours, drying at
temperature of 110oC for 5 hours and sintering at temperature 1000oC for 5
hours. XRD, SEM-EDS, VSM and VNA use for characterization. Single phase
identification visible by XRD, the structure of morphology has been homogeneous
visible by SEM-EDS, magnetic properties visible by VSM and electromagnetic
wave absorption visible by VNA. Characterization results showed Nickel Ferrite
phase is formed with spinel structure. The effect of the concentration Ni and Fe on
Nickel Ferrite magnetic properties that originally made soft magnetic into hard
magnetic. But the optimum variation optained at x = 0,5 which is characterized
by the value of coertivitas field (Hc) is the largest 261 Oe and the magnetic
remanent (Mr) big there are 11,3 emu/gr. VNA (Vector Network Analyzer)
characterization show the ability electromagnetic wave absorption of -27 dB
occurs at a frequency of 10,91 GHz. This material can absorb electromagnetic
wave by 80 %.
