We demonstrate simulation a terahertz waveguide by finite difference method of
a hollow core THz waveguide made by dielectric materials with two embedded metal
wires. The waveguide is designed with a core diameter of 3 mm which surrounded
by 12 small holes with 0.35 mm of the diameter, as well as the diameter embedded
of the copper wire with perpendicular and parallel to the electric field. The
numerical investigation is conducted by finite difference method by running a
simulation using 2D mode solver program to obtain the physical properties of the
waveguide. This simulation also determines the attenuation coefficient of the
waveguide. The two metal wires embedded perpendicular to the electric field are
able to reduce the attenuation down to 6,18% in the frequency range of 0.3 - 1
THz. In the other hand, parallel position increases the attenuation up to 19,07%.
