Efek Milling Time Terhadap Sifat Fisis dan Mikrostruktur dari Serbuk BaFe12O19 dengan Al2O3 Sebagai Aditif
Abstract
Manufacture of permanent magnet made by mixing powder BaFe12O19 amorphous
Al2O3, which is an insulator in the form of crystal called korondum , having
density values of 3.96 g / cm3 , a melting point of 2050 0C and hardnes from
1500 to 1800 kgf / mm2
as doping, with a composition of 93: 3% Wt to get a
strong magnet. Do mixing and milling using Planetary Ball Mill (PBM), the
mixing is done using the dry method of mixing and milling, the mixture dimixing
and dimilling with variable time of 12 hours, 24 hours, 36 hours and 48 hours with
a speed of 15 rpm of PBM rad / min.
From the data obtained a PSA some variation of the smallest particle size
of 9.71 microns with a milling time of 48 hours. The physical properties are true
density test, with the highest value obtained true density of 4.383 (g / cm3) at 48
hours milling time, and a true increase in density obtained in 24-36 hours milling
time by 0.09%. Microstructure viewed using XRD , BaFe12O19 and Al2O3 found
some highest peaks. After milling 24 and 48 hours peaks were found only peak
BaFe12O19
