    Sintesis dan Karakterisasi Serbuk Bafe12O19 dengan Aditif FeMo Melalui Metode Mechanical Alloying

    Abstract
    BaFe12O19 powder with FeMo (1, 3, 5, 7, dan 9%wt) additive has been synthesis by mechanical alloying method and variation of calcination at temperature: 1000, 1100, and 1200 oC (2 h). The characterization of powder include: true density, Optical Microscope (OM), Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM), and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). The characterization result of true density before calcination are 3,22 - 4,61 x 10-3 kg/m3 , and the result of Optical Microscope are 106 – 92 nm. VSM analysis results with 5wt% FeMo additive are σs = 50,49 (4π x 10-7) Wb.m/kg; σr = 23,83 (4π x 10-7) Wb.m/kg; jHc = 1106 (103 /4π) A/m ; and BHmax = 137 (10-1/4π) J/m3 is the optimum value. After calcination at 1000oC (2 h) temperature, the results are σs = 31.56 (4π x 10-7) Wb.m/kg; σr = 17.17 (4π x 10-7) Wb.m/kg; jHc = 445.36 (103 /4π) A/m; and BHmax = 8.66 (10-1/4π) J/m3 which is the optimum value. XRD analysis showed that the powder BaFe12O19 with 5wt% FeMo addition has 59.2% barium hexaferrite (BaFe12O19), 24.11% hematite (Fe2O3), and 16. 67% barium oxide (BaO) phase with hexagonal, trigonal, and tetragonal crystal structure respectively. This material can be categorized semi hard magnetic and possibility use for magnetic sensor material.
