ABSTRACT
Rain is one of the meteorological parameters were observed in the BMKG. Current
measurement is done by an automated tool, although it is still commonly found
measurements made with conventional tools in the field. Existing automatic tools are
still expensive then needed rain gauges are reliable at an economical price (techno economic).
It works using a magnetic sensor ATS276. The principle is the same as the other
switches, each tip is happening, magnet meets the switch will be on. When on, the
switch will provide input to the signal processing circuit, the input is processed. Once
processed, the data processing results displayed on a monitor and stored.
This experiment was modifying a rainfall gauge to replace existing magnetic sensor
that is more easy to use. Magnetic sensors as graduated rainfall using a tipping bucket
type tool with a resolution of 0.5 mm. This tool will display the measurement results
and measurement results in a computer store. The measurement results were achieved
with these tools produce data with about 98% accuracy rate.
