dc.description.abstractABSTRACT Food consumption is the type and amount of food eaten by a person with a specific purpose at a specific time. The level of welfare of a household can be seen from the consumption or expenditure incurred by households. The research was conducted in Kelurahan Sidomulyo Kecamatan Medan Tuntungan. The samples were 40 poor households receiving rice (Raskin). Sampling technique is done by using simple random sampling and the method of data analysis used the multiple linear regression analysis with backward method. The result showed that the factors that influence food consumption expenditures of poor households (Y) in Kelurahan Sidomulyo Kecamatan Medan Tuntungan is the head of household income (X1), number of household members (X2), long married (X4) and the number of subsidized rice for the poor (X5).
