Pengetahuan Mahasiswa Profesi FKG USU Mengenai Osteomielitis pada Rarang Bawah dan Penatalaksanaan

Abstract

Osteomyelitis is an extensive infection that can affect the lower jaw. The speed and accuracy of osteomyelitis treatment is the key to the successful management of osteomyelitis. Therefore, the knowledge of osteornyelitis over the clinician is an important consideration for the management of mandibular osteomyelitis. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of clinical dental students in Faculty of Dentish-y USU regarding osteomyelitis in the lower jaw and its management. This research is a descriptive study survey using a cross sectional design. The subjects of this study was the cl inical dental student in FKG USU, totaling 95 students. Data collection was carried out using a closed online questionnaire using a Google fom1 related to osteomyelitis of the lower jaw and its management. The data that has been collected were analyzed in univariate way and presented in the form of frequency and percentage distribution tables. Based on the results of this study, it was shown that the knowledge of clinical dental student in FKG USU regarding osteomyelitis in the mandible and its management was good. Regarding the characteristics of age and sex, the results of the study showed that the average knowledge of the respondents regarding osteomyelitis of the mandible and its management was good.
