This thesis deals with research which has been conducted on the use of waste fish into fish powder as raw materials of animal feed at fish selling place and Nauli traditional market Sibolga. Waste of fish was taken from the fish auction and Nauli traditional market Sibolga. Fish powder derived from sorted and unsorted waste fish. Fish waste was washed, then it was boiled for 2 minutes and then dried in an oven at a temperature of 102+3°C, then the dried fish is chopped and finally blended to be fish powder. The result indicates that the nutrient composition of fish powder from sorted fish waste and unsorted waste fish is convenient to the specified quality parameters Indonesian National Standard (SNI 01-2715-1996). The result indicates that the nutrient composition of fish powder from sorted fish waste is the water content of 15.04%, 53.62% protein, crude fiber 2.98%, 18.73% ash, 9.54% fat, 2.46% calcium, 4.60% phosphorus, 3.89% salt, and negative for salmonella bacteria. The result indicates that the nutrient composition of fish powder from unsorted fish waste is the water content of 15.75%, 47.34% protein, crude fiber 10.10%, 21.50% ash, 12.72% fat, 2.62% calcium, 4.65% phosphorus, 3.99% salt, and negative for salmonella bacteria Therefore it can be concluded that the fish powder from sorted fish waste and unsorted fish waste can be utilized as raw materials for animal feed (quality III).
