Hypertension is a problem in blood circulation in the human body that causes an increase in blood pressure above the normal value, which is above 140 mmHg for systolic pressure and above 90 mmHg for diastolic pressure. Hypertension is called the silent killer because it is often without complaints, so the patient does not know that he has high blood pressure, causing complications. The purpose of this senior practitioner is to carry out nursing care for the elderly with hypertension by applying relaxation therapy. The nursing care provided is a number of non-pharmacological therapies for deep breathing relaxation and education related to hypertension. The media used are posters and leaflets. The results of the evaluation found that deep breathing relaxation therapy can reduce blood pressure and reduce pain and the education provided regarding hypertension can increase the client's knowledge about hypertension.en_US
