Factor analysis is a multivariate statistical technique that used to reduce / summarize
data from a lot of variables becoming a few variable which is then called a factor. This
research is a factor analysis to determine the impact of National Examination (NE) to
Public High School students in the city of Medan. Respondents in the research were
students of Public High School in Medan. 4 The result showed that the dominant
factor into the impact of the enactment of the National Examination for the students of
National Exam is a negative factor (21,389%), environmental factors supporting the
selection of the National Examination (18,588%), material factors matter National
Exam (18,042%), ahead of the National Examination Preparation factor
(17,014%). These four factors provide diversity cumulative proportion of 75,034%,
meaning that all four factors to impact the enactment of the National Examination for
students of 75,034% and the rest can be affected by other factors that were not
identified by the research model..
