Kajian Aksesibilitas terhadap Ruang Terbuka di Perumahan Terencana Kota Medan
Abstract
One of the factors that influence the success of public open space is the
accessibility. Public open space can be found in a planned housing. With the public open
space in the housing it will be easier for residents to visit a public open space, especially
on foot. This study aims to identify the quality of open space in the pedestrian towards
housing, identifying the quality of linkage in housing, and public perceptions regarding
the accessibility of open space in residential planned at city of Medan. The experiment
was conducted in three housing planned in the city of Medan to collect primary data, by
observing the quality of pedestrian accessibility, making behavioral mapping of
pedestrian in housing, identify linkage quality, and distributing questionnaires to
determine the public perception, as well as collecting secondary data. From the research
that has been done, the quality of the pedestrian in the housing there are many
shortcomings, particularly in the pedestrian quality, width, continuity, availability of
seats, and ramp. Linkage open space in the residential-housing good, can be found easily.
Visitors who came to public openspace using vehicle more than foot. People say a place
can be accessed easily accessible when using the vehicle. Distance and time do not affect
the accessibility for visitors open space in residential planned city of Medan.
