| dc.description.abstract | Hypertension or high blood pressure is a chronic condition characterized by an increase in systolic pressure of more than 140 mmHg and a diastolic pressure of 90 mmHg, this condition cause the heart to work harder to circulate blood throughout the body trough blood vessels. The global prevalence of hypertension is 1.28 million of those aged 30-79 years of the total world population in developing and middle income countries. The percentage of hypertension in Indonesian in 2011 was 8.4% and made Indonesian the fifth ranked country in the incidence of hypertension in the Southeast Asia region, namely as much as 15% of the entire population. Family is a group of two or more people who live together through marriage ties and emotional closeness, each of them identifies as part of the family. To overcome problems in families with hypertension, comprehensive family nursing care is needed using the family nursing care process, namely promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects as well as support and guidance from nurses so that they can prevent the effect of complications such as heart attacks, kidney failure and stroke. This writing was done by interview method, and observation. Patients in this study consisted of 5 families who were experiencing hypertension. The management carried out in this study was providing health education about hypertension and using hypertension exercise techniques to 5 families in 3 meetings. The results of this study found that after the hypertension exercise technique was carried out there was a decrease in blood pressure and the client felt more comfortable and calm. | en_US |
