dc.description.abstractHypertension is a condition in which the body experiences an increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 90 mmHg. Based on data from World Health Organization (WHO) it shows that around 1.13 bilion people in the world suffer from hypertension. Management of hypertension is divided into two, namely pharmacology and non-pharmacology. In carrying out this senior practicum, the practicum applies progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) in the management of nursing carre for hypertensive client fot stroke prevention. The aim is to help lower blood pressure. Nursing care was carried out for 4 weeks starting from June 27 – July 23 2022 in three patient with hypertension with the main complaint of pain or headache. The implementation result showed that 3 patient showed a decrease in blood pressure of 1-2 mmHg after 4 days of progressive muscle relaxationen_US
