dc.description.abstractHypertension is a condition in which there is an increase in blood pressure above the normal threshold and a disturbance in the blood vessels which causes the supply of oxygen and nutrients carried by the blood to be obstructed to the body's tissues. Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO) it shows that around 1.13 billion people in the world suffer from hypertension. Hypertension can occur due to several factors, especially one's lifestyle. Management of hypertensive patients is divided into 2, namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological. In carrying out this senior practicum, practicing nursing care for hypertensive clients with non-pharmacological management, namely by applying brisk walking exercise which aims to help lower blood pressure. Nursing care was carried out for 3 weeks starting from July 4-July 23, 2022 in three patients with hypertension with the main complaint of pain or headache. The results of the implementation showed that from 3 patients the result was a decrease in blood pressure of 1-2 mmHg after the brisk walking exercise was carried out for 6 days.en_US
