dc.description.abstractElderly is someone who has aged 60 years and over (Ministry of Health RI, 2014). The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (2009), states that mental disorders in the elderly early age (age 55-64) reached 7.9% while those over 65 years reached 12.3%. These glitches always preceded by anxiety or anxiety disorders (Bayu et al., 2021). Anxiety is a state in which an individual experiences feelings of fear or worry which is response to external and internal stimuli that influence behavior, emotional, cognitive, and physical (Carpenito, 2010). Anxiety has an impact on life, both positive and negative impacts. Especially if this anxiety experienced by the elderly. Therefore this senior practical report aims to provide mental illness in the elderly with anxiety. Clients in this senior practicum are elderly with anxiety in the Jaticempaka subdistrict who have had a mental status assessment and psychosocial first. The results of senior practice show a change patient anxiety after nursing care with deep breathing relaxation therapy. It is recommended for nurses to continue to encourage the community, especially the elderly, to always paying attention to the psychosocial condition of the elderly.en_US
