dc.description.abstractDepartment of Finance is a strategic department and lcnown as fiscal manager. This agencyis also lmown as the biggestfundraiser in the State Budget Acceptonce and F.xpenditure (APBN) with the biggest vertical office all over Indonesia and is holding type organizatton in nature. Department of Finonce which has an authority in setting public policy in the field of economic andfiscal that it ts so closely tied to the market, started to reform the bureaucracy in its administrative rsnl$ and activities. With its public-oriented view, the Ministry of Finance organization ts not massive, but constantly does self-reinventing in accordance with the needs of the community. The purpose of this descriptive quantitative explonatory survey study was to find out and analyze the influence of work satisfaction and motivation on the performances of the employees with organizational commitment as intervening variable (a Study on the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service ffice of Madya Type of Customs B Medon). The were obtaied through documentation study and questionnaire distribution. The data obtained were processed through Analysis of Moment Structure (AMOS) program Version 16 analyzed through Stntcturol Equation Model (SEM). The result of this study was that work satisfaction had positive and significant influence on the performances of the employees of the Supervision and Customs and Excise Servtce ffice of Madya Type of Customs B Medan. Motivation had positive and significant influence on the performances of the employees of the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service Office of Madya Type of Customs B Medon. Work satisfaction had positive and significant influence on the pedormance of the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service ffice of Madya Type of Customs B Medan. Motivotion did not have any positive ard insignificant inJluence on organizational commitment of the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service ffice of Madya Type of Customs B Medan. Organizational commitment had positive and signiJicant in/luence on the pedormances of the employees of the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service ffice of Madya Type of Customs B Medan. Work satisfaction indirectly had positive and significant influence on the performances of the employees through the variable of organizational commitment of the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service ffice of Mafua Type of Customs B Medan. Motivation dtd not have positive influence and indirectly be insignificant on the performances of the employees through the variable of orgonizational commitment of the Supervision and Customs and Excise Service Ofice of MadyaType of Customs B Medan.en_US
