Security and confidentiality of data is an important issue in the era of sophistication of information technology. To ensure the security and confidentiality of the data we need a technique that confidential information is masked and hidden so that it is difficult to know and protected from unauthorized access. Cryptography and steganography techniques can be used to process the security and confidentiality of the information which the cryptographic method aims to transform the secret message into an unknown message, at the same time the steganography is a technique of hiding messages into other media. However, we must be true to applied and the existence of the data or information and also the quality and durability of the hardiness medium of messages need to be considered in order to obtain the level of security and confidentiality to ensure that is really secure. The research used a cryptographic algorithm AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) 256 for message encryption method and the Steganography method Enhanced LSB (Least Significant Bit) 3-3-2 formation to hidden message process. Examination the integrity of the data on the accuracy of time and description of the encryption process should be tested to ensure that the encryption process and the description well done and also resistance for manipulation of image test. finally, evaluation test of the medium image quality both before and after the insertion of a message using the PSNR method. The results of tests performed on the timing accuracy and description of the encryption process is able to run well. In testing used PSNR methods, the average of PSNR is 69.91 db. with an average error value is 1.83 db, it means decreasing the quality of image is not significant. At the same time in the testing of image manipulation it proves that image unable survived from the manipulation or alteration.
