    Abstract
Electroflocculation is a combination process of electroprepicitation and electroflotation which is applied to treat waste water from pulp and paper industry. Electroprecipitation and electroflotation processes occurred in the reactor which was completed with electrodes simultaneously. In the electroprecipitation, aluminum ions were released from anode that contacted with electric current to become complex hydroxide aluminum which bound organic composite contained lignin and dispersed colloid particles in waste water pulp and paper and then coagulated to aglomerates. The electroflotation process was signed bubbles of H2 gas from cathode due to water electrolyzes. The floes were removed by the gas bubbles which were generated during the process and floating to the surface. The result this research showed that the optimum condition of contact time was 150 minutes and electric current was 1,5 A in which the efficiency of COD decreasing was 75,14 %, Ca2 + was 94,44 % and Mg2 + was 98,21 %. On the other side, the optimum condition of contact time was 180 minutes and electric current was 1,5 A in which the efficiency of color decreasing was 35,96 % and pH was 30,51 %. The result analysis showed that the calculated value of F was greater than the value of F in the table (4,35), namely calculated value of F for pH was 17,638, COD was 42,553, color was 5,070, Ca2 + was 4,997, and Mg2 + was 26,275. These showed that contact time and electric current have obviously and significantly effected the decrease of pH, COD, Color, Ca2 + and Mg2 +.
