dc.description.abstract | Range of Motion Actife-Assitif Spherycal Grip is a joint movement
exercise which is actively done by patients by the aid of nurses in order to
stimulate the movement in hands. It can be done by the exercise of gripping a
round object like a ball, by opening the hands, closing fingers, gripping the object.
and arranging the stength of the grip. The objective of the research was to
develop the guidelines for Range of Motion Akti-Assitif: Spherycal Grip in the
Stroke Center Room. The research used an action research method. There were
four types of guidelines for gathering the data: guideline for focus group
Discussion (FGD), questionnaires about nurses’ knowledge and patients
satisfaction of Range Motion Aktif-Assitif: Spherycal Grip, and the evaluation instrument of SPO- Range of Motion Aktif-Assitif: Spherycal Grip in STIKes St. Elizabeth, Medan. The participants for knowledge consisted of ten nurses in the Stroke center Room of Santa Elizabeth Hospital, Medan. The data were processed qualitatively and quantitatively. The research result the guidance of the
range of motion Acive-Assistive: Spherical Grip. The result of the observation in
the implementation of SPO range of motion in the treatment room is 70 %. This
study affects a significant diferences in the knowledge of nurses with min
maximum 1, the mean maximum 2, after the mean minimum 2, mean maximum
3, mean maximum of 4, so it can be said that there is an increase in knowledge
and satisfaction before and after. The research was commended to the managerial
of the Hospital in order to apply SPO-range of motion Active-Assistive: spiral
