dc.description.abstractAcidogenesis was the first step in anaerobic digestation process. Acidogenesis process produced VFA which was a substrate of metanogenesis in biogas production. The aim of this study was to obtain the effect of various pH and to obtain the optimum pH condition by using impeller batch reactor and POME as the raw material in ambient condition. The process was perfomed at various pH fermentor batch reactor; such as 5; 5.5; and 6 at 250 rpm stirring speed. Solid analysis (TV, VS, TSS, and VSS), COD, and VFA were to examine the change of organic compound into VFA in acidogenesis process. The highest total VFA produced was 4,141.416, which was obtained at 5.5 pH variation and each concentration of acetic acid, propionate acid, and butyric acid are 1,444.329 mg/L, 712.5267 mg/L, and 1,984.5602 mg/L, with the degradation of VS and COD were 30.39 % and 27.78 %, the ratio of VFA/alkalinity was 1.7623.en_US
