    Abstract
This study aims to determine the ability of desorption and the interaction between the white sand contaminated with metal ions (Cd2+) 50 ppm with various concentrations of SDS and the SDS Flow Rate Variations on SDS solution at pH 7. The concentration of SDS used is 0; 0.5; 1; 2; and 5 cmc. Variations in flow velocity SDS used is 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 ml / min. This study is divided into two steps: pretreatment by sand contamination that begins with washing and drying until the conditions are uniform. Then proceed with the measurement of the adsorption capacity potential by batch adsorption system. Second Stage performed remediation phase or washing with SDS to review the desorption capabilities and interaction between SDS and white sand is contaminated (Cd2+). Effect of SDS concentration in removing metal ions or washing the metal ion (Cd2+) looks volatile, caused by the channeling effect that can not be controlled. The removal results contained in the current The concentration SDS 2 SDS cmc with a flow rate of 4 ml / min, 11.27%. Effect of flow rate variation was significant only at the time of 0 cmc or no addition of SDS, suggesting remediation process is influenced by the SDS The concentration if their Channeling Effect that can not be controlled. Sampling every four pore volume or desorption kinetics shows constant returns after 12 pore volumes of up to 16 pore volumes, this indicates that the dominant channeling effect on 12 pore volumes of up to 24 pore volumes.
