dc.description.abstractFactor analysis is a multivariate method used to analyze the variables that allegedly have links with one another so that the relationship can be described and mapped or grouped on the right factors. This research used factor analysis to find out what are the dominant factors that affect amount of crime in Binjai according to the result of research conducted at Kantor Kepolisian Republik Indonesia Resor Kotamadya Binjai. Based on the result obtained by four dominant factors that affect amount of crime are the conventional crime factor (28,406%), the second factor is the individual crime (15,042%), organized crime factor (13,128%), public order crimes factor (11,542%). All these factors gives the cumulative proportion of the diversity of 68,108% means that all four of these factors can affect the amount of crime in kotamadya Binjai at 68,108% and the rest can be influenced by other factors that were not identified by the research model.en_US
