dc.description.abstract | A research on the Ni plating samples of bonded magnets Pr-Fe-B by using the
electroplating method. The raw materials used are magnetic powders MQP PrFeB with
tiype 16-7. The oxidation test in air with a temperature of 120oC with the variation
time of 1 hour, 4 hours, 9 hours, 16 hours, and 25 hours and accelerated by raising the
temperature to 200 ° C with a variation of 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes, 50
minutes, 60 minutes , 4 hours, 9 hours, 16 hours, and 25 hours. From the research
results of the sample mass changes that have been coated with Ni ranging from -0.0006
g / cm 2, while the sample without Ni coating reaches -0.06477 g / cm 2, as well as the
degradation of the magnetic field samples with coating that is slow is -189.2 Gaus,
whereas without coating reaches - 537.1 gauss. Physically samples were coated with
Ni is also well protected from the reaction of the air environment at temperatures of
120oC and 200 oC. While the magnetic sample without coating undergoes oxidation
characterized by accretion of mass per unit area, release powders and golden brown
discoloration. | en_US |
