dc.description.abstractPalm ash constitutes as cesspool of palm production that contains a lot of silica element (SiO2) and constitutes pozzolanic material. In this research palm ash was utilited as additive material in mortar mixture. The testing was made for physical and mechanical properties of the mortar. The testing object was made by composition of mixture 1 cement : 2,75 sand : 0,5 water, by variation of palm ash addition on cement 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%. By the research showed pressure strength respectively viz 16,533; 19,733; 23,467; 19,333; 13,200 and 10,933. Pull strength respectively viz 1,138; 1,280; 1,546; 1,208; 0,923 and 0,895. Water absorption strength by mortar respectively viz 2,322%; 2,141%; 1,987%; 2,279%; 2,959% and 2,963%. Shaft strength by mortar respectively viz 5,333%; 4,8%; 4,533%; 5,067%; 6,4% and 6,667%. The research result showed there were difference in pressure strength, pull strength, water absorption and shaft by increasing palm ash until 25% from cement mass, mortar maximal quality would be in 10% increasing of palm ash.en_US
