| dc.description.abstract | The condition of PHBS (Behavior of Living Healthy and Clean) in North Sumatera can be seen from the number of extraordinary eyents in North Sumatera, especially the incident of diarrhea in 2008. The death rate because of diarrhea increased, compared with that of the previous year. Based on the preliminry survey at SLB (Extraordinary School), Stabat, Langkat District, there was only 10% of the students were used to clean their hands before and after doing their activities and to throw away garbage in the trashcans. The type of the research was a survey with explanatory research type which was aimed to analyze the influence of family supports (informational, reward/assessment, instrumental, and emotional) on the health behavior of non mental grasp students. The research was conducted at SLB Stabat, Langkat District. The population was 41 mothers of the students, and all of them were used as the samples. The data were analyzed by using multiple logistic regression tests. The result of the research showed that family supports which influenced the students' behavior of living healthy and clean were emotional support and reward/assessment support. The most dominant variable was emotional support. It is recommended that the Head of SLB Stabat, Langkat District, should provide informational source media such as audio visual about the behavior of living healthy of the non-mental grasp students, increase the health socialization and promotion regularly about how to live healthy and clean by making all families participate in it so that they will understand that family support plays an important role in the behavior of the non-mental grasp students to live healthy and clean. | en_US |
