Pengaruh Penyuluhan Kesehatan dengan Metode Ceramah Disertai Media Leaflet terhadap Pengetahuan dan Sikap Ibu Hamil dalam Pemberian ASI Eksklusif di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Muara Satu Kota Lhokseumawe Tahun 2014

Abstract

The program of Exclusive Breastfeeding is a program promoting the only breastfeeding to baby for the first 6 (six) months without gave to baby other kinds of food and drink. Based on the coverage of Exclusive Breastfeeding at Health Center Muara Satu in 2013 which was 44.6%, the media of health promotion done in the attempt to change the behavior of pregnant womens was the lecture method with leaflet distribution. The purpose of study was to find out the influence of health promotion through lecture method with the media of leaflet on the knowledge and attitude of pregnant womens in Exclusive Breastfeeding in the working area of Health Center Muara Satu, the city of Lhokseumawe in 2014. The type of research is quasi-experimental, the study the design with non randomized control group pretest posttest design were analyzed through Independent t-test method. The population was 156 pregnant mothers living in the working area of Health Center Muara Satu in June 2014. The samples for this study were 25 pregnant womens for case/treatment group in Desa BlangPulo, and 25 pregnant womens for control group in Desa Batuphat Barat. The result of this study showed that there was an influence of health extension through lecture method with the media of leaflet to improve the score of knowledge pregnant womens on the Exclusive Breastfeeding with p value = 0.001 and attitude of pregnant womens on the Exclusive Breastfeeding with p value= 0.001. The Head of Health Department Lhokseumawe is suggested to provide a continuous training in the form of Training of Trainer (TOT). The health extension workers should be more active in providing health educcation on the Exclusive Breastfeeding to the pregnant women.
