| dc.description.abstract | Adolescence is a crucial and critical period so that it needs maximal support from parents. One of a child's behaviors which should be guided is her sexual behavior. The data from Laguboti Subdistrict revealed that many female teenagers appeared as simple and sincere; but; in reality, they had evasive sexual behavior. The objective of the research was to find out and to analyze the description of parents' care pattern and of female teenagers' sexual behavior in Laguboti Subdistrict, Toba Samosir District. The research used qualitative and phenomenological approach. The subject of the research was teenagers who lived in Laguboti Subdistrict, Toba Samosir District., using snowball sampling technique. The data were gathered by conducting in-depth interviews and documentary study and analyzed by using Colaizzi approach. The result showed that there were three themes of parents ' care pattern, authoritarian, democratic, and pampered/ permissive care pattern. Sexual behavior of the teenage girl was classified as mild to severe sexual behavior. As the main impact of this sexual behavior, two females were pregnant without getting married and one female was infected by HIV/AIDS. Socio-culture analysis showed that their parents were busy with their professions as farmer and teacher. Moreover, three parents pampered their daughters with materials. It is recommended that the management of the local Health Service empower health care providers in providing counseling about health reproduction for women, especially for female teenagers. Besides that, parents should spare their time in paying attention to and control their daughters while they were earning a living. | en_US |
