Penerapan Arsitektur Tradisional Aceh pada Museum Tsunami Aceh

Abstract

The Aceh Tsunami Museum design based on a basic idea of the cultural and traditional architectural elements in Aceh. Therefore, this research has goal to analyze the elements of cultural values and Aceh’s traditional architecture that applied to The Aceh Tsunami Museum building, with identify and analyze factors that make the design of Aceh Tsunami Museum like from the traditional architecture Aceh .The theory used in this research is the theory about traditional architecture of Aceh. The method used in this research is the historical – qualitative descriptive method. Data was accumulated by the form of primary data and secondary data. Primary data was accumulated by direct observation and survey to the research area by take some photos, interview with an architect and community leaders in Aceh. Secondary data is the data obtained from literature, either some books or journals as an information media. The result of this research is the application of The Aceh Tsunami Museum architecture with the six elements of traditional architectural concepts, while the factors that affect the design of Aceh Tsunami Museum seen from the application of Aceh traditional architecture comply three elements.
