dc.description.abstract | Irrigation destruction in Desa Baru caused the farmer to have to look for the alternative to flow through his cultivation land personally by making the artesian well. The farmers initiative emerged in the form of the cooperation that was based believed mutually among the farmer. The farmer's capacity to knit this co-operation was realization by the local institution in community irrigation management based. This research used qualitative method by using the depth interview technique and participation observation to dig up information in a deep manner about what, who, when, why and how. Classification of general informant, usual informant and the key informant were the method of digging up information about the local institution established in the irrigation management. This research purposes are; a. To understand local knowledge about the artesian well that functioned as the irrigation, b. To describe the local institution in arranging the management and the utilization of the artesian well community based, c. To analyze how far the existence of the artesian gave the influence on the environment. Results of the research showed that the existence of the local institution to the two village in Desa Baru, i.e.; the cooperation beginning to determine of season planted, frequency and ground water taking as well as the duration of the artesian operation could restrict the behavior of the farmer that exploitative in taking the ground water that took part influencing of environment existence. | en_US |
