    Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Kesediaan Konsumen Membayar Harga Premium Beras Organik di Kota Medan

    Abstract
    The increase in people's awareness of health and environment encourages them to consume organic food. One the most important food commodities is organic rice. The marketing center of organic rice in North Sumatera is in Medan. Organic rice is usually available in big supermarkets such as in Pasar Buah Berastagi and in JaPPSA (Marketing Network of Natural Concord Agriculture) (specific store which sells organic products). The price of organic rice with and without Indonesian Organic NS/ certificate varies, from Rp.13, 000 to Rp.38,500 per kg. The difference in price of the organic rice reflects the difference in consumers' willingness to pay for it. The objective of the research was to analyze the difference between the price with organic rice with and without Indonesian Organic SN! certificate and the price of conventional rice, to find out the value of consumers' willingness to pay, and to analyze some factors which influenced consumers to pay for the premium price of organic rice in Medan. The samples were taken by using accidental sampling technique. The data were analyzed by using one sample t-test and multiple regression analysis with OLS method. The result of the research showed that the average price of organic rice sold in JaP PSA and outside JaP PSA was more significant than that of conventional rice. The average value of consumers' WTP (Williness to Pay) was Rp.5,300 per kg for JaPPSA consumers and Rp.20,410 per kg for consumers outside JaP PSA. Some factors which irifluenced consumers' willingness to pay for premium price of organic rice were the number of family members, organic certification, consumers' knowledge of health benefit, and consumers' knowledge of the benefit of environment. The number of family members and consumers' knowledge of the benefit of environment had negative influence while organic certification had positive irifluence
     
    Meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat akan kesehatan dan Iingkungan hidup mendorong semakin meningkatnya konsumsi pangan organik. Salah satu komoditi pangan organik yang terpenting adalah beras organik. Pusat pemasaran beras organik Sumatera Utara berada di Kota Medan. Beras organik umumnya hanya tersedia di supermarket besar seperti Pasar Buah Berastagi dan JaPPSA (salah satu toko khusus pemasaran produk organik). Harga beras organik bersertifikat maupun tidak bersertifikat resmi SNI Organik Indonesia bervariasi, di antara Rp. 13.000 per kg sampai dengan Rp 38.500 per kg. Perbedaan harga beras organik tersebut menggambarkan perbedaan nilai kesediaan konsumen untuk membayarnya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis perbedaan harga beras organik bersertifikat maupun tidak bersertifikat resmi SNI Organik Indonesia dengan harga beras konvensional, mengetahui nilai willingness to pay konsumen dan menganalisis faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi kesediaan konsumen untuk membayar harga premium beras organik di Kota Medan. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji beda rata-rata one sample t-test dan analisis regresi berganda dengan metode OLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata harga beras organik baik yang dipasarkan di JaPPSA maupun luar JaPPSA lebih besar signifikan dibandingkan dengan rata-rata harga beras konvensional. Rata-rata nilai WTP (Willingness to Pay) konsumen adalah sebesar Rp. 5.300 per kg untuk konsumen JaPPSA, dan Rp. 20.410 per kg untuk konsumen di luar JaPPSA. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesediaan konsumen untuk membayar harga premium beras organik yaitu: jumlah anggota keluarga, sertifikasi organik, pengetahuan konsumen mengenai manfaat kesehatan dan pengetahuan konsumen mengenai manfaat lingkungan. Jumlah anggota keluarga dan pengetahuan konsumen mengenai manfaat lingkungan memiliki pengaruh negatif dan sertifikasi organik berpengaruh positif
