Tingkat Pengetahuan Ibu Usia Subur Tentang Penggunaan Alat Kontrasepsi di Kampung KB Gurun Tigo Berseri Kelurahan Puhun Tembok Kota Bukittinggi

Abstract

Background: The population growth rate in Indonesia according to the Central Bureau of Statistics in 2010-2020 is relatively high, that is 1.25% per year. The condition of the population growth rate that continues to increase will affect the status or level of health. One of the government's efforts to overcome these problems is the Family Planning (KB) program. The manifestation of the family planning program is the use of contraceptives with the aim of delaying or preventing pregnancy. The level of knowledge and factors that influence the use of family planning is important to know because it can influence the decision to use contraceptives. Aim: To find out the level of knowledge of mothers reproductive age about the use of contraceptives in Kampung KB Gurun Tigo Berseri, Puhun Tembok, Bukittinggi. Method: This research uses descriptive method with cross sectional design will be conducted using questionnaire data with 88 samples that obtained with consecutive sampling technique. The analysis was carried out using the SPSS program univariately by displaying a frequency distribution table with 90% confidence level. Result: From 88 samples, the knowledge level of respondents that were in the good category is 55 people (62.5%), sufficient is 27 people (30.7%), and deficient is 6 people (6.8%). The factors that influence the use of contraceptives in respondents are predisposing factors, supporting factors, and driving factors. Conclusion: The majority of mothers reproductive age in Kampung KB Gurun Tigo Berseri, Puhun Tembok, Bukittinggi have a good level of knowledge about the use of contraceptives.
