Introduction. Adolescent pregnancy is defined as pregnancy that occored in adolescents under 20 years old. Save the Children in a report entitled Global Girlhood Report 2020 predicts that 1.04 million women worldwide will experience pregnancy in their teens as a result of the large number of early marriages during the Covid-19 pandemic. Adolescent pregnancy is a high-risk pregnancy that causes complications for both the mother and the infant.
Aim. This study aims to describe the level of knowledge of female students at SMP Negeri 4 Kotanopan about the risk of adolescent pregnancy.
Methods. Data were collected using questionnaires.
Results. After conducting univariate data analysis, it was found that 64% of respondents had an adequate level of knowledge about the risk of adolescent pregnancy, 96% of respondents had an adequate level of knowledge about general knowledge about adolescent pregnancy, 48% of respondents had a moderate level of knowledge about the factors related to adolescent pregnancy, 74% of respondents had an adequate level of knowledge about the health risks caused by adolescent pregnancy to the mother, and 64% of respondents had an adequate of knowledge about the health risks caused by adolescent pregnancy to the baby.
Conclusion. It can be concluded that female students of SMP Negeri 4 Kotanopan have an adequate level of knowledge about the risk of adolescent pregnancy.
