    Pengaruh Konsumsi Cokelat terhadap Tingkat Keparahan Akne pada Siswa SMP Negeri 2 Kuala Kabupaten Langkat

    Abstract
    Background: Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammation of the pilosebaceous follicles, which usually occurs in adolescence and can heal by itself. Consumption of chocolate, oily or fatty foods and foods with high sugar levels are categorized as causal factors or recurrence factors for AV events. Differences in the results of research on the relationship between chocolate consumption and AV can be caused by the etiology of AV which is multifactorial when connected to its pathogenesis. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of chocolate consumption and the incidence of AV in students of SMP Negeri 2 Kuala. Methods: This research is an analytic research with a cross-sectional research design. This research uses a cross-sectional approach. The research will be conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Kuala. This research was conducted from July 2022 to November 2022. Results: found not to consume chocolate. It was found that the distribution of students at SMP Negeri 2 Kuala, Langkat Regency, found that the majority did not experience acne vulgaris. Most of the students at SMP Negeri 2 Kuala Langkat Regency are 13 years old. The sex of students at SMP Negeri 2 Kuala, Langkat Regency, is mostly female. Based on the use of masks (34.3%), washing your face after using masks (57%), has hereditary factors (11.4%). Use of cosmetics (50%), have experienced menstruation (100%). Female students who are menstruating (7.1%) have regular menstruation (92.9%) while students who experience acne during menstruation (78.6%). Conclusion: there is no significant relationship between gender, BMI on the incidence of acne vulgaris.
