Studi Sistem Proteksi Pasif Kebakaran Pada Bangunan Hotel Danau Toba Internasional Medan

Abstract

Each building is necessary to minimize the occurrence of fires is with the application of fire protection systems that work actively or passively. This research was discusses only the passive protection system that is more instrumental in the design of the structure and architecture than active protection system which only plays a role in putting out the fire. This descriptive type of research is to analyze the data through qualitative and quantitative analysis. The qualitative analysis is done based on the facts of observation, whereas quantitative analysis is used to calculate the value of the reliability of passive protection system based on the Pustlibang 2005. The purpose of this research is to identify the passive protection system in accordance with applicable standards and determine the level of reliability of passive protection system of the building. The results of this research it can be concluded that the passive protection system contained in the building studies is many that are not in accordance with the standard rules, but the reliability of passive fire protection systems contained in the building is 87.53% and is included in good classification.
