The first cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia were found in 2 cases in March 2020. Some COVID-19 patients experienced decreased platelet counts and increased procalcitonin levels which were related to the severity of the disease in COVID-19 patients. Objective. To determine the correlation between platelet count and procalcitonin levels with the severity of disease in COVID-19 patients at H. Adam Malik General Hospital Medan. Method. This research is an analytical study with a cross-sectional study approach with Spearman non-parametric correlation test. The research data was taken using secondary data (medical records). This research was conducted at H. Adam Malik General Hospital Medan from June to October 2022. Result. In this study, the most characteristics of patients were female with age <60 years and the most comorbid was Type 2 DM. In this study, the results were not significant with p value = 0.388 (p>0.05) between the platelet count and the severity of disease in COVID-19 patients and significant results with p = 0.000 (p <0.05) between procalcitonin levels and the severity of disease in COVID-19 patients. Conclusion. There is correlation between procalcitonin levels and severity of disease in COVID-19 patients, whereas there is no correlation between platelet count and severity of disease in COVID-19 patients.
