Introduction. The rate of anemia in pregnancy worldwide is quite high, including Indonesia, and this can have a negative impact on pregnant women and the fetus in the womb.
Aim. This study aims to determine the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women that occurs at the Glugur Darat Health Center in Medan City in 2021.
Method. This research was conducted at the Glugur Darat Health Center in Medan City with data for 2021. The research design is a cross-sectional quantitative descriptive. The research sample was pregnant women who carried out Antenatal Care (ANC) examinations at the Glugur Darat Health Center in Medan City.
Results. It was found that there were a total of 223 pregnant women according to the inclusion criteria. In the data obtained the majority of pregnancies were in the second trimester (39,0%), primigravida and multigravida (33,6%), good nutrition (78.5%), high school education (75,8%), and housewives (85,7%). The prevalence of anemia for pregnant women at the Glugur Darat Health Center in Medan City in 2021 was 49,3% with an average Hb level of pregnant women experiencing anemia of 9,8 g/dL.
Conclusion. The results of the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women were 49,3%
