dc.description.abstractCellulose acetate is cellulose in which the hydroxyl group is replaced by an acetyl group. Cellulose acetate is a white, tasteless, odorless and non-toxic solid. Cellulose acetate has high commercial value because it has good physical and optical characteristics, so it is widely used as a fiber for textiles, cigarette filters, plastics, photographic films, lacquers, paper coatings, and membranes. In addition, Cellulose acetate has a high attractiveness because it is biodegradable so it is environmentally friendly. The cellulose acetate manufacturing plant is planned to produce with a capacity of 10,000 tons/year and is planned to operate for 330 days a year. This factory is expected to meet the supply of cellulose acetate in Indonesia. The factory location is planned to be in Jombang Regency, Bandarkedungmulyo District, East Java with a land area of around 18,300 m2. The form of this corporate entity is planned as a Limited Liability Company (PT) and a line and staff organizational form with a total workforce of 155 people. The results of the economic analysis of this cellulose acetate manufacturing plant :  Total Investment Capital = Rp. 1.726.462.697.789,-  Total Cost of Production = Rp. 1.626.863.563.008,-  Total Sales = Rp. 2.285.910.043.021,-  Net Profit = Rp. 459.080.873.329-  Profit Margin (PM) = 28,69%  Break Even Point (BEP) = 21,57%  Return on Invesment (ROI) = 26,59%  Pay Out Time (POT) = 3,76 years  Return on Network (RON) = 44,32%  Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 33,57% Based on the results of the analysis of the economic aspects, it can be concluded that "Preliminary Plant Design of Cellulose Acetate from Durian Husk Using the Emil Heuser Method with a Capacity 10,000 Ton/Year" is feasible to establish.en_US
