Background: High intensity interval training (HIIT) is a period of high-intensity training and short work on HIIT that has the potential to disrupt muscle fibers and trigger muscle damage. Creatine kinase is the best indirect marker of damage to muscle tissue. However, as far as the literature search goes, there are still few studies that analyze the effect of HIIT on creatinine kinase, both in human subjects and experimental animals. Therefore researchers are interested in conducting research on the effect of high intensity interval training (HIIT) on creatine kinase levels in white wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus). Objective: This study was conducted to determine the effect of high intensity interval training (HIIT) on creatine kinase levels in male Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus). Methods: This study was a laboratory experimental design and the sampling technique for the experimental group and the control group was formed using a random procedure. The research subjects consisted of 34 male rats weighing 180-200 grams. After the treatment was given for a certain period of time, creatine kinase levels were measured in the control and experimental groups. The measurements were carried out at the Regional Health Laboratory of North Sumatra Province. Further data were collected and analyzed using SPSS. Results: Data obtained on average creatine kinase levels in white rats (Rattus Norvegicus) showed a significant difference between the control group and the High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) group. The results of the Independent t-test analysis obtained p = 0.000 so that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. Conclusion: The results showed that there was a significant difference in the average levels of creatine kinase in white rats (Rattus Norvegicus) between the control group and the High Intensity Interval Training group ( HIIT).en_US
