| dc.description.abstract | Background. Child sexual violence is a deviation from sexual relations, including
acts of touching to sexual exploitation that harm and destroy the welfare of
children. Child sexual violence is experienced by 1 in 5 girls and 1 in 13 boys
worldwide. North Sumatra Province is ranked third in cases of sexual violence in
Indonesia. Aim. To show the prevalence of child sexual violence at Forensic
Department of RSUD Dr. R.M. Djoelham Binjai in the period of January 2017 to
December 2021. Methods. Descriptive research with a cross-sectional design,
using total sampling technique from Visum et Repertum. Data were processed and
presented in tables of frequency distribution by univariate analysis. Results. The
prevalence of child sexual violence at RSUD Dr. R.M. Djoelham Binjai 2017-2021
were 38 victims with 55.3% male and 44.7% female. By age group, 52.6% were 13-
17 years old, 39.5% were 6-12 years old, and 7.9% were 0-5 years old. On physical
examination, 34.2% has intercourse sign and 55.3% has no signs. Extragenital
injuries were found in 23.7% with details of 44.4% bruises, 7.9% lacerations, and
5.3% abrasions. The relationship between victim and perpetrator was 76.3% extrafamilial,
15.8% intra-familial, and 7.9% institutional. Conclusion. The prevalence
of child sexual violence each year has increased and decreased erratically. | en_US |
