Analisis Kandungan Urea Molasses Multi-Nutrient Block (UMMB) Berbasis Pod Kakao Fermentasi dengan Mol (Mikroorganisme Lokal) sebagai Feed Suplement
Abstract
Seasonal changes are one of the limiting factors in procuring good quality forage, so often the feed provided cannot meet the basic needs of livestock. The addition of UMMB aims to overcome nutritional deficiencies from forage and environmental stress in livestock. The study was conducted experimentally using a non-factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments A0 (10% unfermented cocoa pod) as a control, A1 (10% fermented cocoa pod), A2 (15% fermented cocoa pod) and 6 replications. The parameters of this study consisted of the nutritional content of UMMB in the form of water content, dry matter, crude protein, crude fiber, crude fat, and ash.
The results showed that fermented cocoa pods with MOL had a very significant effect (P<0,01) in increasing the nutritional content of UMMB. The best results were obtained in treatment A1 using 10% fermented cocoa pod which had crude protein (26.32%), crude fiber (14.60%), crude fat (4.53%), water (16.42%), dry matter (83.59%), and ash (11.49%).
