Sapera goat is a type of dairy goat that produces milk well. To produce milk, Sapera goats need feed with good quality and in accordance with the needs for production purposes. Wake-up leaves are one of the plants that contain laktogagum which functions to increase the rate of secretion and increase milk production. In this study, the leaves of Bangun-bangun were processed into biscuit form to be used as one of the feed ingredients for Sapera goats to optimize milk production. The study was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments, 3 replications and each replication consisted of 1 Sapera goat in the production period. The treatments were P0 = 50% forage + 50% concentrate, P1 = 50% forage + 25% concentrate + 25% leaf biscuits, P2 = 50% forage + 50% leaf biscuits. The research parameters were milk production, feed consumption, and feed conversion.
The results of the research P0, P1, P2 showed the value of milk production (ml/day) namely 917.38a, 1673.81b, 844.29a, respectively. The value of feed consumption (gr/day) was 2474.05b, 2467.45b, 2360.48a, respectively. The feed conversion values were 2.84a, 1.50a, 2.91a, respectively. The conclusion of the study was that the combination of 50% forage + 25% concentrate + 25% leaf biscuits resulted in better milk production.
