dc.description.abstract | Coconut grater and squeezer tools as ingredients for made VCO were grater and squeezer that can complete two processes in one tool. The purpose of this research was to produce a prototype of a grater and squeezer tool coconut and to test the performance of the tools built. From the results of tool design, produced a grater and squeezer with dimensions of 52 cm × 32 cm × 100 cm used an electric motor 1 hp shaft rotation 1400 rpm. Grate speed 1050 rpm and 46,67 rpm screw speed with a gearbox ratio 1:30. Results the research showed the effective capacity of the tool was 9,421 kg/hour and the production capacity 4,531 kg/hour. The yield of coconut milk was 40,5% and the yield of VCO was 6,42%. The result of the trial of coconut milk processed 0,483 kg and VCO of 0,032 kg. The basic cost obtained was 1582,428 IDR/kg, BEP of coconut milk was 115,802 kg/year and BEP of VCO was 0,841 kg/year. | en_US |
