dc.description.abstract | COCONUT (Cocos nucifera L) is a tropical plant that has been widely used by the community. One of the things that becomes an obstacle in the grating process is the result of the grater because this greatly affects the grater to produce coconut milk in terms of making VCO. This study aims to examine the effect and obtain the best grater eye distance on a coconut grater as an ingredient for making VCO. This study used a non-factorial completely randomized design method with one factor, namely the distance of the grater on the mechanical grater where (K1=9 grater/ and K2=4 grater/ ) each treatment will be repeated three times. The parameters of this research are the effective capacity of the equipment, the production capacity of the equipment, the quality of the VCO, the operational costs, BEP, NPV, IRR, Ergofellow software. The results showed that the grater eye distance had a significant effect on each parameter. The fine grating eye, namely 9 grater blades/ is the best grater with an effective tool capacity of 9,421 kg/hour, production capacity 4,531 kg/hour, coconut milk yield 45,833%, VCO yield 6,61 % | en_US |
