    Abstract
    Background. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a disease of the respiratory tract, which can result in airflow obstruction with manifestations of shortnees of breath and impaired tissue oxygenation and is followed by chronic airway obstruction, reduced work capacity, and frequent recurrences causing decreased quality of life. COPD is a disease characterized by airflow obstruction in the airways (lungs) that is not fully reversible. COPD can be caused by several factors, namely smoking, air pollution, genetic factors, and exposure at work (to coal, cotton, and grains) Health Promotion is one of the courses and is the goal of FKM USU 2020 students, where one of the aims is that students will be able to design health promotion and health education plans for common health problems in both clinical and community settings, then knowledge about COPD needs to be known by FKM students. .Aim. To find out the level of knowledge of FKM USU 2020 student regarding COPD. Methods. Descriptive research with cross-sectional design and sampling technique used in the form of total sampling. Data collection was carried out using an online questionnaire in the form of a google form with an assessment using the Bristol COPD Knowledge Questionnaire (BCKQ). After that the data that has been collected will be tabulated. Results. Level of knowledge of women, good (0%), quite good (48.4%), not good (40.4%), not good (0.8%), while for men, good (0.4%) , quite good (3.6%), not good (6.4%), not good (0%). Conclusion. The knowledge level of the majority of USU FKM students class of 2020 regarding COPD is the majority quite good (52%).
