dc.description.abstract | Background. Head CT scan is the gold standard in diagnosis and early screening of
hemorrhagic stroke because it is cheaper, widely available, easy to identify bleeding,
high sensitivity and specificity, and can be used in patients with hemodynamic
instability. The high mortality and morbidity rate of hemorrhagic stroke patients in
Indonesia and head CT scan is the gold standard in the acute phase of hemorrhagic
stroke, so knowledge of head CT scan images of hemorrhagic stroke patients needs to
be known by young doctors. Objective. This study aims to determine the level of
knowledge of Universitas Sumatera Utara Faculty Medicine students class of 2019
regarding head CT scan of hemorrhagic stroke patients. Method. This research is a
descriptive study with a cross sectional design. Data were obtained using a
questionnaire distributed to students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas
Sumatera Utara class of 2019 and analyzed using the SPSS program. Result. The
number of respondents in the study was 160 people consisting of 65 men and 95
women. A total of 69.4% of respondents have good knowledge overall. As many as
80% have good knowledge about hemorrhagic stroke, 80% have good knowledge of
head CT scan, and 56.9% have good knowledge about typical features of head CT
scan of hemorrhagic stroke patients. Women have better knowledge than men.
Conclusion. The level of knowledge of students in Medical Faculty, Universitas
Sumatera Utara, class of 2019 regarding head CT scan of hemorrhagic stroke
patients as a whole is good. | en_US |
