The aim of this research is to find out the influence of the mixture of Swimming Crab shell flour on commercial feed for the growth and the carcass composition of nile tilapia. This research uses trial method with completely randomized design (CRD), which is 1 treatment with 3 different doses. The control in this research is 100% of commercial feed. Trial 1 is composed of 96% of commercial feed, 2.5% of swimming crab shell flour, and 1.5% of fish flour. Trial 2 is composed of 94% of commercial feed, 4% of swimming crab shell flour, and 2% of fish flour. Trial 3 is composed of 90% of commercial feed, 6% of swimming crab shell flour, and 4% of fish flour. Each trial is repeated three times with 3% feeding rate. The research is done with 60 days of breeding to know the mass growth, length growth, feed convertion ratio (FCR), survival rate, proximate composition of nile tilapia carcass analysis, and the quality of water. The result of this research shows that the mixture of commercial feed with Swimming Crab shell flour gives a real influence (P≤ 0.01) on the mass, length, and FCR. The best treatment is trial 3 which is composed of 90% of commercial feed, 6% of swimming crab shell flour, and 4% of fish flour resulting in best survival rate and proximate composition of carcasses.
