The Use of the Indigenous Saline Soil Mikoriza
Arbuslaila Fungi in Several Soybean Varieties on Saline Land, Percut Sei Tuan
Subdistrict, Sumatera Utara. The yield of soybeans grown on saline land is still very
low, and there is no soybean variety grown in saline land can give optimum yield.
The administration of indigenous Mikoriza Arbuslaila Fungi is expected to be able
to overcome the problem. The purpose of this study wds to evaluate the potential of
the Indigenous Saline Soil Mikoriza Arbuslq.rla Fungi in increasing the growth and
production of several soybean vartettes on saline land. This study was .conducted in
Plastic House from June 20lI to January 2012 using Factorial Complete random
Design consisting of twofoctors and three repeats. Thefirstfactor consisted of three
levels of inoculums treatment (without inoculums; inoculums from the land location
with DHL 7-8 dS/m; inoculums from the land location with DHL 5-6 dS/m). The
second factor consisted of three levels of planting three soybean varieties
(Grobogan; Detam 2; and Anjasmoro). The result of this study showed that the
application of the tnoculums of Indigenous Saline Soil Mikoriza Arbuslatla Fungi
from DHL 5-6 dS/m and DHL 7-8 dS/m locations was not able to increase the
growth and production of soybeans planted on the saline land with DHL 5-6 dS/m.
Vartety of Grobogan could grow better compared to varieties of Anjasmoro and
Detam 2 on saline land. The variety of Grobogan had the highest percentage of
filled pods (88.j1%o) and the highest weight of I0 seeds (1.679). The interaction
between the application of the addition of the inoculums of Mikoriza Arbuslaila
Fungifrom DHL 5-6 dS/m and the varteties of Grobogan and Anjasmoro resulted in
the highest percentage of colonization (8j%o), while the lowest percentage of
colonization was 72% which was the result of interaction between control treatment
and variety of Detam 2
