| dc.description.abstract | A mobile library is a library that moves by bringing library materials such as books to serve the community from one place to another that has not been reached by resident library services. However, the mobile library at the Library and Archives Service of Central Tapanuli Regency has several obstacles in its implementation. This study aims to find out how the results of the implementation of the Mobile Library Program at the Library and Archives Service of Central Tapanuli Regency in Increasing Public Interest in Reading.
The research method used in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data was collected by using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively with the evaluation theory approach proposed by William N. Dunn covering Effectiveness, Efficiency, Adequacy, Evenness, Responsiveness and Accuracy.
The results of the study indicate that the Mobile Library program at the Central Tapanuli Regency Library and Archives Service has been able but not optimal to increase people's reading interest as in the effectiveness indicator, this program has not been effective because it only has one mobile library car to provide services. In terms of efficiency indicators, this program is not yet efficient because it is constrained by the short service time to the community. In terms of adequacy indicators, this program is not sufficient in satisfying the needs of the people of Central Tapanuli Regency. In the leveling indicator, this program has not been evenly distributed to the community because of the large area. In terms of responsiveness, this program has been well received by the community. The last indicator of accuracy, this mobile library program is right on target to the people of Central Tpanuli Regency in increasing interest in reading. | en_US |
