dc.description.abstractThis thesis analyzes and describes the efforts of the Republic of Palau in dealing with climate change and environmental damage. Currently the world is being hit by a climate change crisis that affects every country. As a country in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, the Republic of Palau is quite alarmingly affected by conditions of rainfall which are getting higher every year, prone to flooding which causes damaged agricultural conditions, damaged biological ecosystems, decreased state income due to decreased tourists visiting the country. the. As a country that has beauty in the sea, the Palau region is used as a destination for snorkeling and diving, this is a high contributor to state income. Under the conditions of climate change, the government issued policies that are useful for preserving the natural marine ecosystem, one of which is the use of sunscreen. Maybe for some tourists, the use of sunscreen is really necessary, but in this condition the Palau government strictly prohibits it, and if you violate it, you will be fined according to the applicable law. From this condition, the government of Palau is also working with other countries and international organizations by helping each other through this climate change condition.en_US
